Our last event for the year was on October 26th. It was a mostly overcast day with a cool wind that kept the temps down. Clay provided some new features to the layout that required the drivers to use/learn energy conservation techniques. The average times went up a bit, but most seemed to like the effort.
Congratulations to the winners:

Our third event was on July 13th. Again we had a small group with new attendees. It was one of the fastest layouts we have utilized and it seemed to have many fans. We started the day with a fire plane parked on the course, but it was removed in time for us to set out the last cones and get started on time. Some timing problems caused delays, but we were able to get a full day in. Due to the timing problems, the awards handed out were not final. We reviewed all the times and the following is the corrected list. Winners that did not receive an award will be presented theirs at a later date.

The second autocross of the season was on April 29th. Some of the older model cars displayed their spinning abilities to an appreciative audience. The new track seems to have a curse, as like the Porsche club, we had a car spin at the end of the track and hit one of the timing sensors. We want to thank everyone who attended, especially those who were attending for the first time.

The autocross season opened on March 25th with a sunny, cold and windy day. Cold tires and track resulted in spins, slides, drifts and (possibly) bruised egos. The highlight was when two cars did 360’s – one after the other! We were happy to have some participants who were new to auto-crossing. The drivers seemed to enjoy the Clay Beck’s layout and we believe it is one of the favorite versions he has created. We want to thank everyone who attended and hope to see all again throughout the season.
Congratulations to the winners:

The last autocross of the year was on August 6th. Again we were happy to have some participants who were new to auto-crossing. Not too many spins this time – but one racer was able to spin just before the finish line and backed thru the timing lights – and had a very good time! We want to thank everyone who attended and hope to see you all again next year.

The July autocross was a success. With fewer entrants, everyone was able to have 10 runs. Despite a few lurid spins and getting lost on the course, almost everyone’s times fell during the day. Again we had several new drivers and we hope they learned some new things about their cars. Hope to see all at the August event.
Congratulations to the winners:

Woman’s Open B: 1st place – Evelyn Mayorga
The June autocross found us enjoying mild weather and cooling winds. This layout included the big 180 sweeper at the eastern end of the tarmac, which has always been a favorite of most. Two tricky sections saw a few drivers getting lost until they learned the course. We had a couple of spins that fortunately only hurt the drivers ego. We were very happy to be hosting several drivers attending an autocross for the first time and hope they enjoyed the event and will return in the future.
The first autocross of the year was held in April. Cool weather and gusty winds prevailed. The first session went without a hitch and everyone had a nice lunch. Unfortunately, the afternoon session was halted early due to the first ever accident experienced during an event held by the club.
Our fourth autocross was on August 14th. The weather was excellent and everyone said they had a great time. Despite a few problems with the timers, we were able to get in ten runs. Our thanks to everyone who attended and hope to see you again next time.
We want to congratulate our class winners.

March 13th saw our first autocross for the year. We ensured that proper Covid protocols were followed. Cold temps and a biting wind was braved by those wanting to get started on the season. We had some really great spins and numerous cone hits due to cold tires and track. As usual, everyone said they had a great time. We want to congratulate our class winners.
