MEMBERS & RIDES

Clay & Kathy Beck

I’ve loved Corvettes since I was in high school (Hawthorne High in L.A.). Unfortunately, I was unable to afford one. In 1974, I purchased my first ’69 Corvette with a LT1 engine and still own it.

For many years I wanted to purchase another Corvette, but they didn’t have the performance of my ’69. When the 2003 Z06 came out, I knew it was time to get another Corvette.. Great car! I’m now retired, after a 35 year career with PG&E (25 years at Diablo Canyon). I enjoy my hobby of racing my Corvette and tinkering with my muscle cars. My wife (Kathy) and I enjoy trips in our motor home, spending time on our 5 acres, and going to our Lake Nacimiento house with family.

I have always loved sporty cars! While my six sisters were playing with dolls I was on the front porch naming every car that drove by. In middle school my dream car was a red 58 Chevy Impala. Yes, I finally got one…in black though! Looking back at the cars I have owned none of them ever had four doors. Two Porsches, two Cameros, one Challenger, two Eclipse Spiders, one Miatta (what was I thinking…no powerful engine) and finally my Corvette. I must admit that a 911 was also a fun car to drive, but I love my C6.

Bruce Potter

I have 3 vettes: 1996 C4, LT4, 6 speed m/t, white with light gray interior. Next: 1989 C4, L98, TH700R4 a/t, dark red metallic with saddle interior. Finally I have a 1968 C3: L79 327 ci 350 hp engine, Muncie 4 speed m/t, 411:1 rear end. Charlie, my half Chihuahua and half Yorkshire Terrier dog, loves going fast in the Corvettes. However, he’ll have to wait to ride in the ’68 since I’m a long way from completing it’s restoration.

Chuck Robertson

Chuck always liked Corvettes, so in 2000 he bought his first one, a 1998 Silver Corvette Coupe. It was his daily drive and only car for many years.  After retiring from Lockheed Martin, Chuck joined VTV,  interested in meeting other Corvette owners and doing autocross’.  Deciding it was time to move up. in June 2018 he ordered a 2019 Grand Sport built to his specifications.  It arrived in the first week of September, and he had the 500 break-in miles out of the way soon after.
